This Privacy Policy describes how Roar Ventures LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit, use, or interact with yielddesk.co (the “Site”) and the services offered through it (the “Services”).

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SITE OR SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH OUR PRACTICES, DO NOT USE THE SITE OR SERVICES.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide.

When you create an Account, we collect information you submit, including your name, email address and billing information, and profile settings such as time zone and display preferences. Passwords and sign-in credentials are held by our authentication provider, Auth0, not by Company. When you use the Services, we collect content you create or save such as watchlists, holdings entries, alerts, saved screens and notes.

1.2 Information collected automatically.

We collect usage information including pages viewed, features used, session duration, and timestamps. We collect device and connection data including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics.

1.3 Information from third parties.

We receive market data and pricing from licensed third-party data providers and may receive payment and identity-verification data from payment processors (e.g., Stripe). Sign-in is handled by Auth0; we receive the profile fields you authorize Auth0 to share.

1.4 Information we do not collect.

We do not require, request, or store your brokerage credentials. Holdings are entered manually or imported from a CSV file. If a read-only brokerage connection is offered in future, it will use tokens issued by the broker, and credentials will not pass through the Services. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identifiers, or precise geolocation.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Services;
Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse;
Provide research, watchlists, holdings tracking, alerts, calendar data, and other features you request;
Compute personalized outputs such as income projections, Income Quality Score (“IQS”) views scoped to your holdings, and alert triggers;
Process payments, send invoices, and manage subscription tiers;
Communicate with you about your Account, transactions, product updates, and security issues;
Send the newsletter and product communications you have subscribed to, with an unsubscribe link in every message;
Analyze usage to understand which features are valuable, prioritize improvements, and detect bugs;
Meet legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.

3. How We Share Information

3.1 Service providers.

We share information with vendors who help us run the Service, including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring, analytics, customer support, and market-data providers. Service providers are bound by contract to use the information only for the purposes we authorize.

3.2 Legal and safety.

We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, or others.

3.3 Business transfers.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or insolvency, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.4 With your consent.

We share information with third parties for any other purpose only with your consent.

3.5 No sale of personal information.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and protect against abuse. The categories we use are:

Strictly necessary: authentication, security, fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled.
Preferences: display settings, watchlist selection, and similar in-app state.
Analytics: aggregated usage data used to improve the Service. You may opt out with the Anonymized analytics switch in Settings, under Privacy and data, or by rejecting non-essential cookies in your browser.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or targeted advertising networks.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your Account is active, as needed to provide the Services, and as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your Account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records, fraud-prevention records) or where information has been aggregated such that it can no longer be linked to you.

6. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), access controls and security logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

7.1 Account controls.

You can review and update your profile information from the Site at any time. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or by adjusting your communication preferences in Settings.

7.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to (a) know what categories of personal information we have collected about you and how we use them; (b) request a copy of your personal information; (c) request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions; (d) correct inaccurate personal information; and (e) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. 7.3 EEA / UK residents (GDPR).

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and data portability. Our lawful bases for processing include performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7.4 Other jurisdictions.

We honor reasonable requests from residents of other states and countries with similar privacy rights frameworks, subject to verification and applicable law.

8. International Transfers

We are located in the United States and process personal information in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such transfers. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) when transferring personal data across borders.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@yielddesk.co and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Services

The Site may link to third-party websites, integrations, or services we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Site before the changes take effect. The “Last revised on” date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
